Abstract: This study aims to deepen the understanding of the mechanism of “Yin-Yang balance” in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) and promote the modernization of TCM theory by reconstructing the dynamic model of “Yin-Yang balance” with the help of Lyapunov stability theory. The research combines theoretical analysis with model construction. Firstly, the theory of “Yin-Yang balance” is systematically sorted out based on the classic literature of TCM, and reasonable model assumptions are put forward in combination with the basic principles of Lyapunov stability theory. The dynamic model is constructed by defining Yin-Yang related variables and using mathematical expressions, and then the stability of the model is analyzed by using the first and second methods of Lyapunov. The results show that the model can clearly explain the dynamic mechanism of Yin-Yang balance, and has potential value in the application of TCM diagnosis and treatment, providing a new perspective and method for the scientific research of TCM theory.
