Abstract: Subacute thyroiditis ( SAT ) is a painful thyroiditis. According to the clinical manifestations of SAT, the key to its pathogenesis can be summarized as imbalance of yin and yang , that is, the interaction between exogenous pathogens and the body s deficiency leads to the imbalance of yin and yang in the body. The treatment should be based on the stage of disease development and the change trend of yin and yang. In the stage of thyrotoxicosis, yang is exuberant and yin is weak, and the treatment should be clearing heat and dispelling evil ; hypothyroidism period, Yin Sheng Yang failure, treatment should warm the heart and kidney yang ; in the recovery period of thyroid function, the balance of yin and yang in the pathological state should be treated by tonifying yin and yang, strengthening the body and strengthening the surface. Combined with clinical and many doctors experience, it provides a theoretical basis for better treatment of the above diseases.
