Abstract: Colonic polyps, as a common disease of the digestive system, carry a risk of malignant transformation, making early intervention of paramount importance. The issue of recurrence after modern medical treatments has become prominent, and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is increasingly demonstrating its advantages in this field. Based on the theory of Yang deficiency and Yin stagnation, this article thoroughly analyzes the intrinsic connection between this theory and the pathogenesis of colonic polyps, and elaborates in detail on the theoretical foundations of therapeutic methods such as warming Yang to consolidate the root, resolving phlegm to expel stasis. Clinical case studies have validated that the comprehensive therapy guided by this theory can alleviate patient symptoms, regulate the balance of Yin and Yang, enhance immunity, and effectively prevent polyp recurrence, thereby opening new pathways for the prevention and treatment of colonic polyps and their recurrence. However, current related research is still in its initial stages, and further in-depth exploration of the mechanisms of action and optimization of treatment protocols are required to fully leverage the advantages of TCM.
