Abstract: Objective: To observe the clinical efficacy of Huanglian Moisturizing Ointment in treating mild to moderate plaque psoriasis and to explore its effects on blood rheology. Methods: A randomized controlled method was adopted, enrolling 90 outpatients who were randomly divided into three groups. The treatment group received Huanglian Moisturizing Ointment combined with Compound Fluocinonide Ointment; Control Group A received Huanglian Moisturizing Ointment; Control Group B received Compound Fluocinonide Cream. All three groups were given oral Ebastine tablets for 2 weeks. Results: At the end of the treatment period: (1) The total effective rate of the treatment group was 96.67% (29/30), Control Group A was 66.67% (20/30), and Control Group B was 70.00% (21/30). The treatment group showed better efficacy than the control groups, with a statistically significant difference (p<0.05). The efficacy of Control Group B was higher than Control Group A, with no statistically significant difference (p>0.05). (2) PASI scores, pruritus severity scores, and blood rheology indicators improved in all three groups compared with before treatment (p<0.05). Among the groups, the treatment group had greater improvement than the control groups, with statistically significant differences (p<0.05), but the difference between Control Group A and Control Group B was not statistically significant (p>0.05). (3) No obvious adverse reactions were observed in any of the groups during the treatment. (4) The recurrence rate was low in all three groups, but the difference between the treatment group and control group B was statistically significant (P < 0.05).Conclusion: Huanglian Moisturizing Ointment is safe and effective for treating mild to moderate plaque psoriasis, is convenient to use, and is worthy of promotion in primary care.
