Advances in clinical research of heart rate variability for chronic pain

  Abstract: Heart rate variability is currently one of the indicators to evaluate the function of the autonomic nervous system, and a decrease in HRV represents a poor prognosis of the disease. Due to the advantages of HRV in non-invasive and simple, HRV is increasingly used in assessing the status of chronic pain and ANS, and this article reviews the relationship between chronic pain and ANS and the application of HRV in chronic pain, hoping to provide a reference for exploring the mechanism and treatment of chronic pain diseases.
