Interpretation and Value Elucidation of the Spirit of Chinese Scientists Based on the History of Medical Universities

• 摘要：科学家精神是中国共产党人精神谱系的重要组成部分，其内涵可从理论、历史、现实、育人四个维度把握。基于北京协和医学院校史的解读与阐释，有助于丰富科学家精神的内涵与外延，展现其鲜明的时代特征与价值导向。科学家精神与医学院校校史的内在契合性，为高等医学院校落实立德树人根本任务、引导师生心怀“国之大者”提供了丰富的思政资源。

  Abstract: The Spirit of Chinese Scientists is a valuable spiritual wealth accumulated by scientific and technological workers in long-term scientific research practice, and it is an important part of the Inspiring Principles for China’s Communists. The Spirit can be understood from four dimensions: theory, history, reality, and education. By combing through the the history of Peking Union Medical College, the connotation and extension of the Spirit of Chinese Scientists is enriched, which has distinct characteristics of the times and value orientation. The internal compatibility of the Spirit with the history of Peking Union Medical College provides a reference for higher medical colleges to implement the fundamental task of lideshuren (fostering virtue through education) and to carry out sanquanyuren (all-round education) policy.
