Cognitive Survey of Medical Students on Preprints and Research on Literacy Improvement Strategies

    Abstract: Purpose/Significance To investigate the current situation of medical students cognition of preprint and their literacy improvement strategies, providing reference for preprint literacy education for medical students. under . Method/Process A questionnaire survey was conducted among students at Capital Medical University to assess their understanding of preprints, concerns about usage and related educational needs. Result/Conclusion Medical students generally lacked comprehensive knowledge of preprint concepts and resources, expressed reservations about utilizing preprint platforms to publish papers, and demonstrated an educational need for enhanced awareness. Strategies for improving literacy were proposed, including strengthening the popularization of preprint knowledge; customizing educational content for different educational levels and majors; constructing a comprehensive preprint literacy education system; improving evaluation and feedback mechanisms, etc.
