Abstract: Purpose/Significance In the context of information explosion era and the growing demands for professional literacy in medical education, an in-depth investigation of the current state of medical students ability to evaluate information quality and its contributing factors was conducted, and further suggestions on strategies to enhance medical students information quality evaluation ability were put forward, which would provide a scientific basis for the subsequent optimization of the cultivation program of information literacy education. Method/Process An online questionnaire was designed to assess medical students cognition, awareness, ability and their potential influencing factors of information quality evaluation. Result/Conclusion It was found that medical students had a high level of cognition of information quality evaluation, but their actual awareness and competence was insufficient. Significant factors influencing their evaluation skills included gender, education level, and prior experience in information literacy training. Based on the findings, the study proposes strategies to improve medical students information quality evaluation ability, in order to provide a reference basis and a direction of improvement for the subsequent reform of information literacy education and the construction of the curriculum.
