Abstract: 【 Abstract 】Objective: To analysis ω-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids(ω-3PUFA) clinical efficacy observation in the treatment of premature infants under 32 weeks of age and its impact on immune function and cytokines. Method: A retrospective analysis was conducted on the clinical data of premature infants with a gestational age of less than 32 weeks and a birth weight of less than 1500g admitted to the Newborn Center of Ningbo Women and Childrens Hospital from January 2018 to January 2023. The ω-6 PUFAs group implemented ω-6 polyunsaturated fatty acids(ω-6 PUFAs) for nutritional support, and the ω-3 PUFA group implemented ω-3 PUFA nutritional support.Compare the efficacy, incidence of complications, immune function, and cytokine levels before and after treatment between two groups. Result The improvement rate in the ω-3 PUFA group is higher than that in the control group ω-6 PUFAs group (P<0.05); On the 7th day of treatment with ω-3 PUFA groups, compared to the level and complications in the second week after birth, the ω-6 PUFAs group had low levels of C-reactive protein (CRP), lactate (LAC), bile acid (TBA), interleukin-8 (IL-8), and tumor necrosis factor - α (TNF-α)and short oxygen consumption time; CD4/CD8 levels are relatively higher than the ω-6 PUFAs group (P<0.05). Conclusion: ω- 3PUFAs have significant therapeutic effects in nutritional support for premature infants, effectively regulating immune function, inhibiting the release of inflammatory factors, with fewer complications and high safety.
