  Abstract: Stress cardiomyopathy (SC), also known as Takotsubo syndrome (TTS), is a cardiovascular syndrome characterized by transient cardiac dysfunction triggered by emotional or physical stress. Echocardiography reveals transient left ventricular dysfunction, particularly with an apical ballooning appearance resembling a Japanese octopus trap, although coronary arteries show no significant stenosis. The occurrence of SC following cardiac pacing surgery is rare. This study reports a case of SC occurring after pacemaker implantation; the patient improved with effective treatment and maintained good recovery during long-term follow-up.
