Abstract: Chronic heart failure (CHF) represents the end-stage progression of cardiovascular diseases. Although modern medicine offers multi-target pharmacological interventions, challenges such as drug resistance and disease recurrence persist. Based on Professor Yang Fengjing’s theoretical perspective ofS“Yang governing Yin, with Yang consolidation ensuring stability”S at Wuhan Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, this article proposes that the core pathogenesis of CHF involvesSdeficiency of Yang Qi,Sproliferation of pathogenic Yin, andSfloating of deficient Yang. It emphasizes the application of theSwarming and suppressing methodS as a pivotal strategy, combiningSwarming YangSandSsuppressing hyperactivitySto achieveS“Yin Ping Yang Mi”.The differential application of the warming and suppressing method is discussed according to the stage of Yang Qi consumption:During theScompensated stage, mild warming and suppressing are used to prevent progression; In theSdecompensated stage, strong warming and heavy suppressing are emphasized to eliminate turbid pathogens; At theSend stage, urgent revival of Yang and consolidation of genuine Yang are critical.A case example is included, demonstrating significant clinical outcomes and highlighting the advantages of integrating traditional Chinese and Western medicine in treating CHF. This approach provides an effective diagnostic and therapeutic framework for clinical practice.
