Abstract: 【Key words】:As a common clinical organic heart disease, dilated cardiomyopathy is characterized by ventricular dilatation and decreased myocardial contractile function, and it is a major cause of heart failure. At present, modern medicine has no specific radical treatment for this disease. Patients often experience recurrent conditions and have a poor prognosis. Professor Sun Gang has been engaged in the prevention and treatment of cardiovascular diseases with traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) for more than 20 years and has a unique understanding of the treatment of heart system diseases. He believes that the pathogenesis of dilated cardiomyopathy is deficiency in root and excess in superficiality — with pathogenic heat and toxin stagnated and accumulated in the heart and blood vessels as the superficial excess, and deficiency of both qi and yin as the root deficiency. Therefore, in the treatment of dilated cardiomyopathy, he adopts the methods of promoting blood circulation, resolving phlegm and dissipating binds to eliminate pathogenic heat and toxin, and combines them with the methods of nourishing yin and replenishing qi to strengthen the body and consolidate the root, so as to achieve the effect of eliminating pathogenic factors to restore health. This article summarizes Professor Sun Gangs clinical experience in treating dilated cardiomyopathy, aiming to provide reference for clinical practice.
