Mining of Diagnosis and Treatment Data for the Study of Developmental Strategy of Departments of Grade III Level A Hospitals

• 摘要：目的 精准掌握医院各科室类型定位及运营特点，从宏观上研究相应的发展策略，将被动调整变为主动介入，为科室管理和发展战略布局提供参考。方法 基于医院近3年共33万余条患者住院数据，挖掘关键指标，采用聚类算法构建科室综合能力分析模型，将本院共79个临床科室（病区）划分为发展型、全能型、服务型和技术型四类，针对不同类型科室近3年发展演化过程，从横向和纵向两个角度研究医院宏观发展策略。结果 以十堰市某三甲医院全能型科室发展转化为例，调查对应的实际发展情况，结果能够较好的契合本文分析的科室特征和发展策略。结论 本文研究的方法可以为医院管理者对科室发展布局带来启发和参考，为制定出符合本医院院情和特色的最优发展策略提供指导。

  Abstract: OBJECTIVE Mastering the operating characteristics and the corresponding developmental strategy of departments of hospitals that are used for department managing and strategic planning actively. METHODS Based on the 330,000 inpatient data obtained from the hospital in the past three years, we mined essential factors and borrowed a clustering model to analyze the operating characteristics of the 79 departments of the hospital. These departments were further divided into four categories, viz. developmental, versatile, service-driven and technique-driven. According to the development and evolution of different types of departments in the past three years, we analyzed the hospital’s high-level development strategies from both horizontal and longitudinal perspectives. RESULTS Taking an all-round department of a grade III level A hospital of Shiyan, we examined its transformation and investigated the actual situation, and found that the results are in accordance with our theoretical analysis of the department transformation. CONCLUSION The model proposed in this study can pave the way for developmental planning of departments and also provide guidance for formulating the optimal development strategy of hospitals.
