Abstract: Hypertensive emergencies are characterized by a significant increase in blood pressure accompanied by target organ damage and require timely identification and intervention. Common triggers include organic causes such as kidney disease, pheochromocytoma, and renal vascular abnormalities. This case report describes a middle-aged woman who experienced recurrent episodes of sudden blood pressure elevation accompanied by acute heart failure symptoms. Conventional examinations did not reveal any organic abnormalities, and the condition was ultimately diagnosed as anxiety disorder by the Department of Psychiatry and Psychology. After receiving anti-anxiety treatment, the patients symptoms improved, and no further episodes occurred during a six-year follow-up period. This case has certain implications for clinical practice.
