Abstract: Abstract: Objective To analyze the nutrition status of primary and middle school students in Baodi district, Tianjin in 2021 and 2023, as to evaluate the intervention effect of nutrition education on students nutrition. Methods A stratified random cluster sampling method was adopted to select 12 schools. Students nutrition status were assessed in From September to November of 2021 and 2023,including questionnaire survey, physical examination and biochemical indicators. Results Compared with the same age and the same sex group in 2021, the height of boys aged 7-13 and girls aged 6-12 increased significantly in 2023, and the weight of boys and girls aged 8 and 11 also increased significantly. Compared to those in 2021, the level of overweight and obesity in boys decreased significantly, while both boys and girls emaciation rates increased. The detection rates of anemia, serum ferritin and vitamin A and D deficiency in 2023 were 12.25%, 3.77%, 15.70% and 50.31%, respectively,there was no significant difference between the two years. The students awareness rate of nutrition-knowledge and nutrition-related behaviors among students in 2023 were significantly higher than those in 2021. Conclusion The situation of overweight and obesity among primary and middle school students had decreased, but the situation of anemia, low serum ferritin, deficiency of vitamins A and D had not improved.
