Abstract: Objective: This paper analyzes the equity of health resources in Chongqing from 2016 to 2020, and puts forward policy suggestions on its rational allocation. Methods: Using relevant statistical data, the Gini coefficient, Theil index and agglomeration degree of the one district and two clusters area under the administration were calculated respectively with human and material resources as research indicators. Results: The Gini coefficient and Theil index of human and material resources in Chongqing are both small at the population and geographical levels, and they are in a fair state; Human resource equity: (assistant) physicians > health technicians > registered nurses.; Material resource equity:the health institutions > actual beds.In terms of agglomeration degree, the allocation of health and material resources in metropolitan areas is obviously superior to that in other two areas. Conclusion: The allocation of health resources in Chongqing is fair. The equity of population dimension is better than that of geography dimension, the equity of material resources is better than that of human resources. Chongqing should actively coordinate urban and rural economic development and promote the coordinated development of medical and health services among regions.
