  Abstract: The problem-based learning method is applied to teaching of computational thinking and algorithm design. The problem of diagnosing diabetes via nearest neighbor classification algorithm is introduced in the class, by attempting to solve which, the capabilities of students in analyzing and solving problem are enhanced.
