Abstract: Objective: To comprehensively understand the current status and main driving factors of health inequality among children in China. Methods: Based on the 2023-2024 Medication Literacy Investigation of Chinese Children, and Health Utility Index (UI), Erreygers Index (EI), and RIF-EI-OLS regression model were used to measure and decompose health inequality among children in China. Results: The EI of children''s health-related quality of life in China is 0.023, indicating a pro-rich inequality, and the health inequality levels in the central region (0.032) and rural areas (0.032) are relatively high. Family conditions (14.97%) are the main factors influencing children''s health levels and health inequality. Conclusion: Overall, children''s health in China is generally good, but there are significant regional and family differences. It is recommended to optimize resource allocation and institutional design to narrow the social and economic gap; enhance family support capabilities and attach importance to children''s family companionship; and improve children''s health literacy to form good health behaviors.
