Abstract: To investigate the predictive value of the ovarian sensitivity index (OSI) for ovarian response and clinical pregnancy rates in infertile patients undergoing in vitro fertilization-embryo transfer (IVF-ET). Methods A retrospective analysis was conducted on 170 infertile patients who underwent their first IVF-ET treatment at Beijing Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital, Capital Medical University / Beijing Maternal and Child Health Care Hospital from June 2019 to December 2019. According to the pregnancy outcomes, they were divided into a pregnancy group (80 cases) and a non-pregnancy group (90 cases). Variables achieving statistical significance in univariate analysis were examined for multicollinearity, and multivariate logistic regression was subsequently performed to identify independent predictors of clinical pregnancy. Results Univariate analysis indicated that the pregnancy group had a significantly lower maternal age compared with the non-pregnancy group, whereas the levels of AFC, AMH, retrieved oocyte number, serum E? on the day of hCG trigger, and OSI were markedly higher in the pregnancy group (all P < 0.05). No multicollinearity was detected among the variables. Multivariate logistic regression showed that OSI independently influenced clinical pregnancy rate (OR = 0.72, 95% CI: 0.56–0.92, P = 0.008). Conclusion OSI may serve as a useful predictor of ovarian response and pregnancy outcomes in patients undergoing IVF-ET.
