Abstract: Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) is a common functional gastrointestinal disorder with a complex pathogenesis involving abnormal brain-gut interaction, disrupted intestinal flora, imbalanced bile acid metabolism, increased visceral sensitivity, and immune inflammatory activation. The Mu Yu DA Zhi theory reveals the pathological state of liver qi stagnation and its treatment principle of reaching out and regulating; the gut-brain-liver axis as a bidirectional regulatory network connecting the gut, the brain, and the liver, is closely related to the occurrence and development of IBS. This article aims to explore the intrinsic connection between the Mu Yu DA Zhi theory and the gut-brain-liver axis mechanism in IBS, providing new ideas and theoretical basis for clinical prevention and treatment of IBS.
