Abstract: Cardiovascular diseases (CVD) are one of the major public health issues globally, and primary prevention is of vital importance. This article systematically reviews the mechanisms of action, clinical evidence, and safety profile of the combined use of aspirin and statins in the primary prevention of cardiovascular diseases. It introduces the mechanisms of the combined application, including the synergistic effects of inhibiting platelet aggregation, regulating lipid metabolism, improving endothelial function, and reducing inflammatory responses. It also narrates the clinical research progress of different statins combined with aspirin in reducing the risk of cardiovascular events, improving lipid indicators, and reducing atherosclerotic plaques. Additionally, it analyzes the safety of combined drug therapy, pointing out the potential issues of increased bleeding risk and drug interactions. Through this review, it is concluded that in the primary prevention of cardiovascular diseases, the combined use of aspirin and statins has significant clinical advantages, but the bleeding risk and drug interactions need to be weighed. Future research should further optimize the combined treatment plan and explore the best dosage and timing of use to improve the precision and individualization of treatment.
