Research progress of IL-37 in respiratory diseases

  Abstract: As a novel anti-inflammatory cytokine in the Interleukin-1 (IL-1) family, Interleukin-37 (IL-37) is highly expressed in multiple systems and diseases, and is clinically inextricably linked to inflammation and tumors. It has been found that IL-37 plays an obvious regulatory role in the pathophysiological process of respiratory diseases. This article summarizes the mechanism of action of IL-37 in common respiratory diseases of the respiratory system, research progress and its therapeutic potential.
