Research progress on photodynamic therapy and recurrent respiratory papillomatosis

  Abstract: Photodynamic therapy (PDT) is a new drug and device combination technology,involving the two steps of drug administration and illumination. Photosensitizer and light source are the main elements of the clinical application of photodynamic therapy, among which the development of photosensitizer is the key link restricting clinical trials and application. With the development of new photosensitizers and light sources, photodynamic therapies with precision targeting and high selectivity have now been applied in multiple clinical fields.This paper provides an overview of photodynamic development and clinical application, and discusses its application in recurrent respiratory papillomatosis (Recurrent respiratory papillomatosis, RRP).
