Developing quality assessment indicators of Clinical data

• 摘要：基于质量评估相关文献和临床数据应用中的数据问题报告,对现有评估知识进行分解、合并和归纳,构建涵盖完整性、一致性、合理性、准确性、时间性五种维度,总计43项对临床评估问题进行唯一表述的临床数据评估指标,并对每项指标所适用的评估手段进行描述。通过对比以往研究和国家相关标准进行验证,证明本研究提出指标能更清晰、准确的对应实际需求,有利于促进临床数据质量评估的标准化。

  Abstract: This study aims to develop comprehensible and implementable indicators for data quality assessment (DQA) of clinical data. We collected fragmented DQA knowledge from quality-related literature and data error reports of clinical data applications, and summarized them as 43 distinct data quality indicators of 5 quality dimensions: completeness, timeliness, consistency, plausibility, and accuracy. We analyzed each indicator and described details of relevant information, such as methods of implementation and suitable situations. Using related national quality standard of electronic health records data as reference, we compared utility of our DQA indicators with other study. The results indicate the indicators proposed in this study are possible to facilitate the standardization of the DQA.
