Research on Mining the Characteristics of Social Media Users’ Health Information-seeking Behavior: Based on the HPV Vaccine Topic on Xiaohongshu

• 摘要：目的/意义 揭示用户在社交媒体环境下的健康信息搜寻行为特征并构建理论模型。方法/过程 采集小红书中与“HPV疫苗”相关的文本，整合Wilson信息行为模型和问题解决情境理论，采用计算扎根方法，分析健康信息搜寻行为特征间关系及其影响机理。结果/结论 提炼出健康风险感知、问题空间、情感响应、情境动机、信息搜寻行为、信息、个体系统和外部系统8个主范畴，建立社交媒体用户健康信息搜寻行为模型，揭示用户在不同信息需求的触发下，基于不同的情境动机实施信息搜寻行为的过程机制。

  Abstract: Purpose/Significance This study aims to reveal the characteristics of users’ health information-seeking behavior in social media and offer a theoretical model. Method/Process Collected relevant texts about the HPV vaccine from Xiaohongshu. By integrating Wilson’s information behavior model and the situational theory of problem solving, the computational grounded theory method was adopted to analyze the relationships among the characteristics of health information-seeking behavior and their influencing mechanisms. Result/Conclusion Eight main categories—health risk perception, problem space, emotional response, situational motivation, information-seeking behavior, information, individual system, and external system— were sorted out, and then a health information-seeking behavior model for social media users was constructed. This study reveals the procedural mechanism by which users initiate information-seeking behavior, driven by different information needs and based on different situational motivations.
