Development and Application of a Hierarchical ECG Diagnostic Case Database for Practical Teaching Integrating Constructivism and Smart Platforms

    Abstract: Electrocardiographic (ECG) diagnosis, as a fundamental clinical skill, currently faces practical teaching challenges including poor articulation of theory and practice and significant heterogeneity in learners competencies. In the context of New Medical Education emphasizing workplace competency cultivation, this study develops a hierarchical teaching solution leveraging smart platforms.Based on constructivist pedagogy and dynamic tiered adaptation principles, we propose a three-tier instructional framework:Foundational Tier: Coverage of physician licensure requirements; Enhanced Tier: Extension to residency training standards;Exploratory Tier: Personalized clinical case expansion.Enriched teaching resources are deployed via the Chaoxing Learning Platform to support mobile micro-learning. An isomorphic assessment mechanism with differentiated content establishes a closed-loop system of Teaching → Evaluation → Optimization, enabling:Progressive improvement in students practical skills, clinical reasoning, and innovation capabilities.Continuous iteration of teaching resources and pedagogical expertise by instructors, achieving reciprocal growth in teaching and learning. Collectively, this work pioneers a smart technology-driven paradigm for ECG practical education.
