Abstract: Objective To observe the effect of regulating intestinal acupuncture and fire-dragon pot in treating constipation after stroke in the elderly. Methods: 132 patients with poststroke constipation were divided into two groups, 66 in control group and 66 in observation group. Both groups were given basic stroke treatment, the control group was given defecation training on the basis of this, the observation group was given regulating intestinal acupuncture combined with fire dragon jar treatment on the basis of the control group, and the treatment lasted for 2 weeks. The defecation and anxiety status of the two groups were compared, the content of serum enteric neurotransmitter was detected, and the recurrence rate was calculated. Results: From the comparison of clinical effective rate, the clinical effective rate of observation group (92.42%) increased more significantly (P<0.05); In terms of defecation, compared with the control group, the time interval of defecation in the observation group was significantly shortened, the time spent in each defecation was significantly reduced, and the time of first defecation was also significantly advanced (P<0.05). After treatment, the CCS score of defecation difficulty and Bristol score of fecal traits in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group (P<0.05). After 1 week and 2 weeks of treatment, the anxiety SAS score of the observation group showed a significant decline trend (P<0.05). After treatment, the contents of VIP and NO in serum enteric neurotransmitter in observation group were significantly lower than those in control group, and the content of 5-HT was significantly higher than that in control group, with statistical significance (P<0.05). After 4 weeks of follow-up after treatment, the recurrence rate in the observation group was lower, only 5.13% (P<0.05). Conclusion The regulating intestinal acupuncture and fire dragon jar on constipation after stroke in the elderly is accurate, and it is more conducive to shorten the course of disease, reduce the degree of constipation, enhance gastrointestinal motility, relieve anxiety, its effect may be related to the regulation of enteric neurotransmitters content.
