Abstract: Objective To determine the weight of public health security risk assessment indicators in China by using analytic hierarchy process ( AHP ), and to provide a basis for quantitative assessment and scientific management of public health security risks. Methods Based on the construction of public health security risk assessment index system by Delphi method, the analytic hierarchy process is used to construct the hierarchical model of public health security risk assessment in China. The pairwise comparison judgment matrix is established and the consistency test is carried out to ensure the rationality of weight distribution, and the weight value and combined weight of each index are calculated. Results The index system included 3 first-level indicators, 18 second-level indicators and 43 third-level indicators. The weight coefficients of each level of indicators met the consistency test, and the weight distribution and ranking of Chinas public health security risk assessment index system were finally determined. Conclusion The public health security risk assessment index system based on the analytic hierarchy process can scientifically and reasonably reflect the relative importance of each index, and provide important support for the quantitative assessment, early warning, prevention and control of public health security risks in China.
