Abstract: Objective To establish a standardized assessment index system for supervisors in the training of resident physicians based on job competency, providing a reference for the evaluation of training supervisors in standardized residency programs. Methods A specialized working group was formed to preliminarily develop the assessment index system for supervisors through methods such as literature analysis and expert interviews. Twelve experts were selected, and the Delphi method was employed for two rounds of on-site consultations to finalize the evaluation index system. Kendalls W test was used to assess the consistency of expert evaluations, with statistical significance set at P < 0.05. The Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) was utilized to determine the weights of the indicators. Results The experts demonstrated high authority, with a coefficient (Cr) of 0.854±1.07, and good coordination in opinions (=0.801, P<0.01). The final assessment index system for the competency of supervisors in the standardized training of resident physicians comprised six primary indicators, 17 secondary indicators, and 51 tertiary indicators. AHP calculations yielded the following weights for the primary indicators: Professional Competence (0.2433), Teaching Ability (0.4554), Communication Skills (0.0757), Management Skills (0.1194), Professional Ethics (0.0568), and Personal Traits (0.0495). Conclusion The constructed assessment index system for the competency of supervisors in the standardized training of resident physicians is scientifically reliable, aligns with relevant policy requirements, and can serve as a scientific basis for the evaluation of training supervisors in residency programs.
