Abstract: Objective To investigate the relationship between the abnormal expression of pre-treatment serum CEA and D-dimer and the clinicopathological data of colorectal cancer, and to explore they effect on the recurrence, metastasis and survival rate of colorectal cancer. Methods A total of 209 patients who were diagnosed with colorectal cancer for the first time in our hospital from January 2017 to December 2018 and underwent radical surgery were enrolled, and the serum levels of D-dimer and CEA before treatment were measured, the clinicopathological data were analyzed, and the postoperative follow-up was performed. Results The positive rates of D-dimer and CEA in colorectal cancer patients were significantly higher than those in the control group (P<0.001). Pre-treatment blood D-dimer and CEA were associated with recurrence and overall survival of colorectal cancer after surgery (P<0.05). There was a correlation between pre-treatment blood D-dimer and CEA (P<0.05). Positive pre-treatmentblood D-dimer and CEA are independent factors affecting the recurrence and survival of colorectal cancer after surgery. The area under the ROC curve of the effect of both positive pre-treatmentD-dimer and CEA on overall survival was 0.723 (P<0.001). Conclusion Pre-treatment D-dimer and CEA have important value in the diagnosis and prognosis of colorectal cancer. Both positive D-dimer and CEA before treatment had a definite effect on the accuracy of postoperative survival assessment of colorectal cancer. Co-testing is of great value. And the two are related, which provides ideas for understanding the behavior of colorectal cancer.
