Abstract: Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of muscle energy technology in the rehabilitation of ankle fracture surgery. Methods A total of 98 patients with ankle fractures were selected for surgical treatment, and were divided into observation group and control group according to the postoperative rehabilitation treatment plan, with 49 cases in each group. The control group underwent routine rehabilitation training after surgery, and the observation group underwent muscle energy technology treatment after surgery, and the clinical efficacy, ankle VAS pain score, ankle active range of motion, and bone metabolism indexes (BGP, BALP, β-CTX) were compared between the two groups. Results Compared with the control group, the AOFAS score in the observation group was significantly increased, and the VAS pain score was significantly decreased compared with the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). The active plantar flexion and dorsal extension range of motion of the ankle joint in the two groups were better than those in the control group (P<0.05). Compared with the control group, the BGP and BALP values in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group, and the β-CTX values were significantly lower than those in the control group, and the excellent rate of AOFAS score (89.79%, 44/49) was significantly higher than that in the control group (71.42%, 35/49), and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion Muscle energy technology can effectively alleviate joint pain, regulate bone metabolism indexes, and improve ankle function after ankle fracture, which is in line with the current mainstream concept of accelerated recovery surgery.
