Abstract: In recent years, Fecal Microbiota Transplantation (FMT) has attracted wide attention as a medical method to regulate flora disorders. The core steps of FMT include extracting functional flora from the feces of healthy donors and transplanting it safely and effectively into the gastrointestinal tract of patients through relevant medical techniques. In order to rebuild the balance of intestinal flora, and then realize the treatment of related diseases. Among them, the application and its potential in anti-depression has gradually been scientifically verified, showing significant feasibility and effectiveness, providing a new perspective and strategy for the treatment of depression. This paper aims to summarize the relationship between intestinal flora and depression, and explore its possible mechanism of action, clinical efficacy, deficiencies and development prospects through the basic and clinical research on FMT antidepressant, in order to provide reference and help for the subsequent clinical treatment of depression.
