Analysis on influencing factors of digital health technology application obstacles in the elderly

  Abstract: Objective To conduct a cross-sectional survey on the application status of home digital health technology for the elderly, and investigate the obstacles and influencing factors faced by the elderly residents in the application of digital health technology. Methods A convenience sampling method was used to survey 639 older adults in Bengbu city, and multiple linear regression analysis was used to explore the factors influencing the barriers to digital health technology adoption and to develop a structural equation model of the factors influencing the barriers to digital health technology adoption among older adults. Results The obstacle of digital health equipment, the communication and learning of digital health technology in the social interaction of the elderly, the elderlys concern about the privacy and security of digital health technology will affect the use of digital health technology in their daily life. Conclusion Objective environment can indirectly affect the application of digital health technology through device barrier, social interaction and privacy protection.
