A Review of Research on the Application of Metaverse in the Medical Field

  Abstract: Metaverse is a new Internet application and social form that integrates a variety of high technologies, which can provide technical support in medical and health services, medical research and teaching, medical-assisted decision-making, medical collaborative development, and help traditional medical care gradually evolve into smart medical care. This paper firstly gives an overview of the concepts related to metaverse, secondly composes the research progress of metaverse in medical field, thirdly discusses the possible risks and challenges faced by metaverse in medical field, and finally proposes suggestions on the application and development of the meta universe in the medical field in China. This paper aims to provide new ideas for the subsequent research on metaverse healthcare.
