The Application and Data Security of Blockchain in Medical domain:A Survey

  Abstract: As a decentralized, non-tamperable, traceable distributed ledger technology, blockchain provides new ideas for solving medical information problems in medical domain. The paper firstly lists the requirements of medical information and the technical characteristics of blockchain technology. Then, it discusses the security problems based on considering medical data privacy, and gives the solutions. Finally, taking enterprise master patient index for instance, it proposes the process of designing a medical information system based on blockchain. Meanwhile, the development direction of blockchain application in medical domain is prospected.
