Abstract: In 2015, the State Council's Guiding Opinions on actively promoting the "Internet plus" action (Guo Fa [2015] 40) put forward a new model of promoting online medical and health care. Internet hospital, as an important part of Internet plus medical care, has developed rapidly in recent years. During the 2019 novel coronavirus pneumonia epidemic, Internet hospitals played an important role in the epidemic through online consultation, online registration and preventive publicity. In addition, the state vigorously promotes the promotion of medical services by various medical institutions at all levels. Users have developed the habit of using Internet plus medical health service quickly, and public hospitals have also realized the importance of establishing online platforms and providing medical services on line. Based on China's novel coronavirus pneumonia outbreak in 2019, this paper combed the difficulties and challenges of Internet hospitals through three different operation modes and functional applications. From the three aspects of technical support, system building and external supervision, this paper put forward some suggestions for improving the prevention and control of major epidemics and the future development of Internet hospitals.
