Using REDCap to establish a paperless clinical research data collection platform

  Abstract: Currently, the number of investigator-initiated researches is increasing in China. Establishing an electronic data support platform is the key to improve the quality and efficiency of clinical research. However, most medical institutions in China do not have such a platform. REDCap is a free international electronic data collection and management system. It is a convenient, available and reliable tool for the common clinical researcher. From the perspective of a clinical doctor, the process and experience of establishing a paperless clinical research data collection platform using REDCap were introduced in this paper.
