Abstract: Objective: To analyze the research status, hotspots and trends of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) in the treatment of mycoplasma pneumoniae pneumonia using bibliometric methods, so as to provide a basis for further in-depth research. Methods: Relevant literature on TCM treatment of mycoplasma pneumoniae pneumonia from January 2005 to December 2025 was retrieved from the China National Knowledge Infrastructure and Wanfang database. CiteSpace visualization software was used to analyze author distribution, institutional cooperation networks, and keyword clustering. Results: A total of 1774 eligible articles were finally included, and the annual publication volume showed an overall gradual upward trend. Jiang Zhiyan was the author with the highest number of publications, and Longhua Hospital Affiliated to Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine was the institution with the largest number of publications, but its cooperation capacity needs to be improved. In recent years, research hotspots have mainly focused on immune function, inflammation, acupoint application, pulmonary function and other aspects. Conclusion: Researches on TCM treatment of mycoplasma pneumoniae pneumonia mainly focus on pathological mechanisms and novel therapies. In the future, it is necessary to strengthen cross-institutional and multicenter exchanges and cooperation, and promote collaborative innovation of integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine treatment strategies.
