Abstract: Objective: To explore the impact of positive psychological intervention based on the PERMA model on the psychological resilience and emotions of patients undergoing radical hysterectomy with ureteral stent placement. Methods: A total of 77 patients who underwent radical hysterectomy with ureteral stent placement in our hospital from March 2024 to January 2025 were selected as the research subjects and randomly divided into a control group (n=39) and an observation group (n=38) using a random number table. The control group received routine nursing intervention, while the observation group received positive psychological intervention based on the PERMA model in addition to the routine care, for 4 weeks, twice a week, each session lasting 15-25 minutes. The psychological state of the patients was evaluated using the Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale (CD-RISC), Self-Rating Anxiety Scale (SAS), and Self-Rating Depression Scale (SDS) before the intervention, at the end of the intervention, and one month after the intervention. The nursing experience was evaluated using a self-designed satisfaction questionnaire. Results: After the positive psychological intervention, the CD-RISC score of the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group, with a statistically significant difference (P<0.05); the SAS and SDS scores were significantly lower than those of the control group, with statistically significant differences between the groups (all P<0.05). The total satisfaction rate of the observation group was 92.1%, significantly higher than 71.8% of the control group, with a statistically significant difference (P<0.05). Conclusion: Positive psychological intervention based on the PERMA model can enhance the psychological resilience of patients undergoing radical hysterectomy with ureteral stent placement, alleviate anxiety and depression, and significantly improve patient satisfaction with nursing care.
