    Abstract: Objective:To explore the law of acupoint selection and compatibility in the treatment of cough with auricular point sticking by using data mining technology, so as to provide reference for the treatment of cough with auricular point sticking.Methods:We searched CNKI, Wanfang Academic Journal Full-text Database, Chinese Biomedical Literature Database, PubMed and Web of Science for literatures related to auricular acupoint sticking therapy for cough, and the retrieval time was from the establishment of the database to May 8th, 2025. Results:Eighty-seven articles were included.There were 32 auricular points involved in the treatment of cough by auricular point sticking, and the frequency was 470 times. The most commonly used auricular points were lung (18.3%), trachea (12.55%) and Shenmen (11.49%). The commonly used auricular points for the treatment of cough are? lung-adrenal-Shenmen,lung-subcortical-trachea,Shenmen-sympathetic-lung,lung-adrenal-trachea, etc. Conclusion:Auricular point sticking therapy for cough follows the principles of core main points, syndrome differentiation, combination of traditional Chinese and western medicine, and treatment of both symptoms and root causes, which can provide a theoretical basis for clinical nurses to select acupoints.
