Abstract: Purpose/significance Exploring the key factors and their configuration that influence the dissemination behavior of pseudo-health information by social network users is of great significance for purifying the social network space. Method/Process Based on the SOR theoretical framework, SEM and fsQCA were used to investigate the key factors and configurations that influence the dissemination of pseudo-health information by social network users. Result/Conclusion SEM found that the quantity and quality of information negatively affect risk perception but positively affect involvement; authority effect negatively affects health anxiety but positively affects knowledge level; involvement, trust perception and online health anxiety all positively affect the dissemination of pseudo-health information, while risk perception, health literacy and knowledge level all negatively affect the dissemination of pseudo-health information. fsQCA identified two types of configuration paths for the dissemination of pseudo-health information: one is the cognitive momentum-driven type with high trust perception and low knowledge level as the core, and the other is the emotion-driven collaborative type with high online health anxiety and high involvement as the core.
