Application prospects of Single-Walled Carbon Nanotubes in wound hemostasis

    Abstract: Trauma hemostasis is crucial in emergency medicine, with the goal of quickly controlling bleeding and reducing the risk of hemorrhagic shock to improve patient survival. With the advancement of materials science and medical technology, significant progress has been made in the methods and materials for wound hemostasis. Carbon materials have attracted much attention due to their excellent biocompatibility, such as graphene, single arm carbon nanotubes, fullerenes, and other carbon nanomaterials; Among them, Single-Walled Carbon Nanotubes(SWCNTs), as a unique one-dimensional structure of tubular molecular materials coiled from single-layer graphene, have shown broad application prospects in many fields such as electronics, optoelectronic devices, biomedicine, energy storage and conversion. Therefore, this article focuses on exploring the application prospects of single arm carbon nanotubes in the field of hemostasis based on their own characteristics and strong drug loading capacity.
