Research progress of Apelin in oral diseases

• 摘要：Apelin是一种内源性肽,作为其受体血管紧张素Ⅱ1型受体相关蛋白(APJ)的配体,在众多生理和病理过程中发挥着关键作用。近年来,研究揭示了Apelin在口腔疾病,尤其是牙周炎和口腔癌中的表达及其功能,引起了学术界的广泛关注。Apelin-13在牙髓损伤修复、口腔颌面部畸形与缺损修复以及种植体骨结合方面也展现出巨大的应用潜力。本综述对Apelin在口腔领域的研究及应用前景作一总结分析,期望为Apelin在口腔及全身性疾病中的研究提供新的视角,并为Apelin作为口腔疾病治疗的新靶点提供理论支持。

  Abstract: Apelin is an endogenous peptide that, as a ligand of its receptorputative receptor protein related to the angiotensin II type 1 receptor(APJ), plays a key role in numerous physiological and pathological processes. In recent years, studies have revealed the expression and function of Apelin in oral diseases, especially periodontitis and oral cancer, which has attracted extensive attention in the academic community. Apelin-13 has shown great application potential in dental pulp injury repair, repair of oral and maxillofacial deformities and defects, and bone integration of implants. This review summarizes and analyzes the research progress and application prospects of Apelin in the oral field, aiming to provide new perspectives for the research of Apelin in oral and systemic diseases, as well as theoretical support for Apelin to serve as a novel therapeutic target for oral diseases.
