Abstract: Abstract Objective:To investigate the clinical efficacy and mechanism of Shenqi Shiyiwei Granules (SQSYW) in improving cancer-related anemia in colon cancer. Methods:Potential targets and core genes of SQSYW for treating colon cancer-related anemiawere identified through database and network pharmacology analyses. Gene Ontology (GO) and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes (KEGG) pathway analyses were performed on the identified targets. A clinical trial enrolled 80 patients with colon cancer-related anemia, divided into a control group (40 patients) receiving conventional Western medicine (subcutaneous erythropoietin injections) and an experimental group (40 patients) receiving SQSYW in addition to the control treatment. Outcomes compared included clinical efficacy rate, Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) symptom scores, hemoglobin levels, and red blood cell counts. Results:Network pharmacology identified 5 key active components, 10 core targets, and 30 major pathways. The experimental group showed significantly higher red blood cell counts, hemoglobin levels, TCM symptom improvement, and overall clinical efficacy compared to the control group (P?< 0.05).Conclusion:This study reveals that SQSYW alleviates colon cancer-related anemia through a multi-component, multi-target, and multi-pathway synergistic mechanism, demonstrating superior efficacy compared to Western medicine alone.
