    Abstract: Impotence is one of the common diseases in andrology, which exerts a seriousimpact on both the physical and psychological conditions of patients. TraditionalChinese medicine has a long history of understanding impotence. The etiology andpathogenesis of impotence are rather complex and variable. Most medicalpractitioners tend to explore and treat it from the perspectives of overexertion andkidney deficiency.However, with the advancement of the times, the medicalcommunity s understanding of impotence has been continuously deepened, andmedical practitioners understandings of its etiology and pathogenesis, as well as themethods of syndrome differentiation and treatment, have become increasinglydiverse.Based on the theory of the correlation between the spleen and the kidney ,this article expounds from the aspects of etiology and pathogenesis, as well assyndrome differentiation and treatment. By analyzing the interactions between thespleen, the kidney and other internal organs, it delves deeply into the internalrelationship between the theory of the correlation between the spleen and the kidneyand impotence, with the hope of providing more comprehensive and effectivetreatment methods and clinical thinking for the clinical treatment of impotence.
