Research progress of GLP-2 in non-alcoholic fatty liver disease

Abstract: Nonalcoholic Fatty Liver Disease (NAFLD) is an increasingly common chronic liver disease worldwide. It has become the most common chronic liver disease in adults and children. The incidence of NAFLD is increasing year by year and shows a trend of younger age. The occurrence of NAFLD is closely related to insulin resistance, obesity, type 2 diabetes and other metabolic syndromes. In recent years, glucagon-like peptide-2 (GLP-2), as a hormone specifically expressed in intestinal tissues, has been gradually discovered and paid attention to its role in insulin resistance and lipid metabolism. This article aims to review the research progress of GLP-2 in non-alcoholic fatty liver disease.
