Abstract: Objective: To observe the improvement effect of Qinggan Ningxin Zhi Dong Fang on the clinical symptoms of children with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD, heart-liver fire type). Methods: Fifty children with ADHD diagnosed and treated at Wuhu City Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital from March 2023 to March 2024 were selected and divided into a control group and an experimental group of 25 cases each using the random number table method. The control group was treated with Jingling Oral Liquid, while the experimental group was treated with Qinggan Ningxin Zhi Dong Fang for a period of 2 months. The efficacy of the two groups and the SNAP-IV scores, traditional Chinese medicine symptom scores, and serum cortisol (COR) levels before and after treatment were observed and compared. Results: The total effective rate of the experimental group was higher than that of the control group (P<0.05); the SNAP-IV scores and traditional Chinese medicine symptom scores of children in both groups were reduced, and the serum COR levels of children in both groups were increased, with the experimental group showing more significant effects (P<0.05). Conclusion: Qinggan Ningxin Zhi Dong Fang can effectively improve the clinical symptoms of children, regulate serum COR levels, and enhance clinical efficacy.
