Abstract: Laparoscopic surgery is one of the most commonly performed procedures in general surgery with few side effects and quick recovery. Postoperative gastrointesti-nal dysfunction (POGD) is a major complication facing the prognosis of this minimally invasive surgery. As a major feature of Chinese medicine, external treatment of Chinese medicine can reduce the risk of postoperative nausea, vomiting and abdominal distension, shorten the time of postoperative anal defecation and hospitalization, promote the recovery of the organism, and reduce the medical expenditure, and it has a better therapeutic efficacy and safety.
