Abstract: <br />:Objective:To examine the current research landscape and evolutionary trends of county-level medical communities (CMCs) in China. Methods:Relevant literature on CMCs published between 2016 and 2025 was retrieved from the China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI),Wanfang Data Knowledge Service Platform, and VIP Chinese Science and Technology Journal Database.CiteSpace 6.4.R1 was used to conduct bibliometric and visual analyses. Results:The number of publications on CMCs showed a sustained upward trend. Several core research teams have gradually emerged, although collaboration among different teams remains relatively limited.Research topics have evolved from early discussions of fundamental issues, including conceptual development and healthcare resource integration,to the unified management of human resources, financial resources, and assets within CMCs, and subsequently to the integration of medical care and disease prevention and health management. In recent years, increasing attention has been paid to digital transformation, service quality improvement, and the high-quality development of CMCs.Conclusion:Research on CMCs in China is closely aligned with national policy priorities.Research hotspots have gradually shifted from macro-level system construction toward micro-level empirical research and improvements in service quality and organizational functioning.Future studies should strengthen cross-institutional collaboration and further explore innovations in governance and operational mechanisms, particularly healthcare insurance payment reform.
