Abstract: Abstract: Sarcopenia, an age-related degenerative syndrome characterized by a progressive decline in skeletal muscle mass, strength, and function, has garnered increasing global attention due to its association with reduced survival rates. Inflammation, nutrition, and immune factors collectively form its core pathophysiological basis. In recent years, a series of composite indices derived from complete blood count and biochemical tests have shown important clinical value in the early identification, risk stratification, and prognosis assessment of sarcopenia. These indices comprehensively reflect a patient''s inflammatory status, nutritional reserves, and immune status, offering the advantages of convenient detection and low cost.

Key words: Sarcopenia; Elderly; HALP score; CALLY index; Prognostic Nutrition Index; Geriatric Nutritional Risk Index; Systemic Immune-Inflammation Index
